It's a Great Week to Be a Hampden Dragon!
PSSAs CONTINUE THIS WEEK
Our Hampden Dragons in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades have been trying their hardest and doing their best on PSSAs and we are so proud of them! PSSA assessments continue this week for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students as they complete Math testing on Tuesday, April 30. The Science assessment will be given to 4th graders on Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2.
GAME NIGHT OUT -- FRIDAY, MAY 3
Game Night Out has been rescheduled to Friday, May 3, 6:30 - 8:00 PM. All male students and one female guest over the age of 18 are invited to attend. There will be Kickball, Capture the Flags and Four-Square games as well as free play and popsicles at the end. No RSVP is required.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR HAMPDEN FIELD DAY ON MAY 15
Hampden Field Day is on May 15 (Rain Date: May 22). Volunteers are needed to help with stations, snacks, decorating and set-up. There will be two Field Day sessions, an AM Session and a PM Session. HAMPDEN TALENT SHOW
Hampden is looking for 4th and 5th graders who would like to showcase their talent in the Hampden Talent Show. The talent show will be on Thursday, May 23. Participants must have their acts “stage ready” as there will only be limited number of practices after school -- so start practicing! For more information, check out the Talent Show Flyer. DISTRICT NEWS REGARDING NEW STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM
Feedback from all of our stakeholders is integral to the success of our District and we value your opinions. Over the last few years we have listened carefully to feedback, both positive and constructive, from parents and staff regarding our CVSIS (CSIU/eSD) parent/student/staff portals. As a result of that feedback, we are excited to share that we are transitioning from CVSIS to a new program,Skyward student information system. It will be implemented and ready for use in the 2019-20 school year. Parents will utilize the Skyward Family Access center to view attendance, grades, schedules, and more. You will be able to access Skyward Family Access through an internet browser or app anywhere that you have internet access. It is important to note that Skyward will not replace Schoology and Mastery Connect. We will share more information in the coming weeks and months about Skyward.
