Sporting Hill's Eagle Star 2019 - Mrs. Cookus
Congratulations to Mrs. Cookus! Mrs. Cookus was nominated by her colleagues to be Sporting Hill's Eagle Star for 2019! Along with 13 other District Stars, Mrs. Cookus will be recognized and honored for her dedication and excellence in teaching on April 5 at the 22nd Annual CV Recognition Dinner, sponsored by the Eagle Foundation. Way to go Mrs. Cookus!
HVAC System at Sporting Hill
The Cumberland Valley School Board approved the replacement of the HVAC system at Sporting Hill. This is a huge project that will take place over the summer.
In order to prepare our building for the summer work, our teachers need to pack all the items in their room. Therefore, the last day of school for Sporting Hill Students will be Wednesday, June 5th. June 5th will be a full day with AM and PM kindergarten.
PSSAs
Similar to previous years, students in 3rd through 5th grade will be taking the PSSA Assessment. The district dates for this assessment are as follows: ELA on April 23, 24 & 25, MATH April 29 & 30, and SCIENCE on May 1 and 2 (4th grade only). No Educational Trip requests will be approved during these testing windows.
- PURPLE UP! Day
- The annual Purple Up! Day is Friday, April 12. Please wear purple on that day to celebrate and honor our military children.
