Simulated severe weather drill

Dear CV parents/guardians:
 
Each year, schools are required to conduct simulated severe weather drills and exercises. To that end, we are writing to make you aware that today we are conducting a simulated tornado exercise in which schools are directed to activate their emergency procedures for severe weather/tornados. Upon conclusion of the drill, students return to their regularly scheduled day.
 
Please know that this is simply a simulated training exercise and at no point is any student, staff member, or visitor in danger. Exercises such as this are both required by the state and valuable in helping to prepare our school community for any potential real-life severe weather events.
