RECYCLE AND HELP SUPPORT OUR EXPLORATIONS PROGRAM!
Note from Mr. de La Barrera: Thank you for your help with the two-litre bottles -- your support was amazing and we will continue to take more as you have them. In addition, we are currently collecting the following items for upcoming Explorations projects:
* Wrapping paper tubes
* Tissue paper
* Pens that do not work
* Miscellaneous old game board pieces (from incomplete sets)
* Newspaper
* Bubble wrap
As always, your support is immensely appreciated. Please send in your items with your student or drop them off in the office with “Explorations” marked on them, and if you want to see some of the projects our students have been working on with your donated materials, please check out my Twitter. GIRLS ON THE RUN
The Girls on the Run season is quickly approaching! This program is for third through fifth grade girls, and the lottery registration will be open from January 1 through February 4. Practices will be held at Hampden on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 5:15 PM, and the season will start on Tuesday, February 19. A flyer with more information will be sent home next week. Kindergarten -- Thursday, December 20
Grades 1-5 -- Friday, December 21
WINTER HOLIDAY BREAK
Hampden Elementary wishes its students, families and staff a very safe and happy holiday. In observance of the winter holiday, please note:
* There will be no school Monday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 1.
* On Friday, December 21, we will have 1/2 day of school with a noon dismissal and no lunch.
* There will be no AM Kindergarten on Friday, December 21, and PM Kindergarten will report in the AM.
* School will be back in session on Wednesday, January 2.
CALENDAR
Holiday Parties -- Kindergarten (Thursday, December 20); Grades 1-5 (Friday, December 21)
1/2 Day -- December 21 (Noon Dismissal; PM Kindergarten / No AM Kindergarten or Lunch)
Holiday Break -- December 24 - January 1
