'Tis the Season...

ITEMS STILL NEEDED FOR HAMPDEN GIVING TREE
You are invited to share in the spirit of the season of giving by providing items for Hampden families in need through The Giving Tree, sponsored by the Hampden PTO.  Sign up to participate by clicking here.  Be sure to place a gift tag that includes the child’s individual code on each item you provide, and a label noting the contents. Please place wrapped items in the box marked “Giving Tree” located in the lobby of Hampden Elementary by Monday, December 21.

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK -- DECEMBER 17-21
Monday, Dec. 17: Team Hampden – Wear your favorite Hampden T-Shirt.
Tuesday, Dec.18: Flannel Day – Winter is coming!
Wednesday, Dec. 19: Holiday Accessories – Hats, Socks, Scarves & Jewelry
Thursday, Dec. 20: Red vs. White – Which side of the candy cane are you on?
Friday, Dec. 21: Holiday Spirit / Party Day – Deck yourself out!

HOLIDAY PARTIES
Kindergarten -- Thursday, December 20
Grades 1-5 -- Friday, December 21

WINTER HOLIDAY BREAK
Hampden Elementary wishes its students, families and staff a very safe and happy holiday.  In observance of the winter holiday, please note:

* There will be no school Monday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 1.  
* On Friday, December 21, we will have 1/2 day of school with a noon dismissal and no lunch.
* There will be no AM Kindergarten on Friday, December 21, and PM Kindergarten will report in the AM.
* School will be back in session on Wednesday, January 2.

CALENDAR
Holiday Parties -- Kindergarten (Thursday, December 20); Grades 1-5 (Friday, December 21)
1/2 Day -- December 21 (Noon Dismissal; PM Kindergarten / No AM Kindergarten or Lunch)
Holiday Break -- December 24 - January 1
School Back in Session -- January 2
PTO Meeting -- January 10, 6:00 PM
