It's a Super Week at Hampden!

AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK IS THIS WEEK!
You are invited to visit Hampden Elementary during American Education Week 2018 on Tuesday, November 6 and Wednesday, November 7. Suggested visitation times are 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM. For more information and to pre-register for an ID badge, click here. All visitors will need an ID badge to enter our school. If you have never had your licensed scanned, you will need to bring your license to the office so that we can print a badge for you.

HAMPDEN'S MINI MINI-THON RAISES $5K
Hampden Elementary hosted its Mini Mini-THON on Friday, November 2, raising $5K for the Four Diamonds.  The mission of the Four Diamonds is to help conquer childhood cancer by assisting and supporting affected families at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center through superior care, comprehensive support and innovative research.  Specifically, our Coins for Kids effort raised more than $900! Our Hampden Dragons celebrated on Friday with an assembly at the end of the day where the big number was unveiled.  Thank you to our entire Hampden Community for its generous support!


HAMPDEN SAYS GOODBYE TO MRS. BUZARD
Hampden wished a fond farewell to our ESL Teacher, Mrs. Buzard, who retired on Thursday, November 1.  Mrs. Buzard was with Cumberland Valley School District for over 19 years and Hampden was lucky enough to have her for 16 of those years.  Mr. Juan Londono, who comes to us from Good Hope Middle School, will be Hampden's new ESL teacher.  Hampden welcomes Mr. Londono and wishes Mrs. Buzard the very best!


VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY 
Our Veterans Day Assembly is on Monday, November 12, 2018. If you have immediate family who have served or are serving now, we invite one veteran representative from your family and one guest (due to limited space and parking) to attend our program on November 12th at 10:00 am. Please RSVP by Friday, November 2.
