It's a Super Week at Hampden!
HAMPDEN'S MINI MINI-THON IS THIS FRIDAY!
Hampden Elementary is hosting its "mini" Mini-THON on Friday, November 2 to help raise funds for CV Mini-THON. All proceeds will benefit the Four Diamonds to help conquer childhood cancer and support affected families at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. To make a donation by cash or check, click here. Donations can also be made online at: https://fourdiamonds.donordrive.com/participant/Hampden-Elementary. When contributing online, please be sure to put the student's name with the donation so they receive credit. Thank you in advance for your support -- FTK!

WEAR BLUE FOR CHILDREN’S GRIEF AWARENESS DAY
Children’s Grief Awareness Day is November 15, 2018. The day is designed to help us all become more aware of the needs of grieving children and of the benefits they obtain through the support of others. Created in 2008 by the Highmark Caring Place, a center for grieving children and their families, it has since become recognized by organizations around the world. This time of year is a particularly appropriate time to support grieving children because the holiday season is often especially difficult time for them. Please join us in wearing BLUE to show our love and support. Thank you!
RECESS: INSIDE OR OUTSIDE?
As we begin to experience colder weather, temperatures from Weather Bug will be used to determine whether or not recess will be indoor or outdoor. If the temperature is below 17°, or feels like 17° or below, recess will be indoor. (This is a guideline for all CV Elementary Schools.) Students will not be permitted to go outside without a coat/jacket if it is below 45° (or it feels like temperature is 45°). Please note that students without a coat/jacket on those days will be sent to the office with a book to read.
