Dear Parents and Guardians of
5th Graders,
It is hard to believe but the end of the
school year is almost here, and it is time to start preparing your fifth grade
student for the move to the middle school. Good Hope Middle School and Eagle View Middle School will host their parent information night on Wednesday, April 25 at 7pm in their auditoriums to provide you with an opportunity to learn about the middle
schools and ask questions to better prepare your elementary student for the
transition to the secondary level.
During this event, parents will learn about
the middle school schedule, grading information, general policies and
procedures, tips for transition, and other important information about middle
school life. There will also be an opportunity for parents to ask questions.
The evening concludes with a self-guided tour of the building, with the
assistance of some of our student leaders. While we certainly wouldn't turn away
any students, this presentation is intended primarily for parents/guardians.
Students will have several other opportunities to visit the middle school and
get lots of information about "moving to the middle."
We hope to see you there. Both schools will also post
information on their websites for families who are unable to attend.
