REMINDER: Volunteers needed for Junior Achievement program
Published on Apr 2, 2018 11:04

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF SOUTH CENTRAL PA IS STILL IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS WONDERFUL EVENT.

Cumberland Valley School District will partner with Junior Achievement of South Central PA to offer REAL LIFE, a daylong program that focuses on financial literacy. The program will be offered April 3-5 for all CV juniors.

Junior Achievement provides the program at no cost to schools. As a business based non-profit, JA relies on support from the business community to help offset the cost of the program and/or to mentor a group of students for the day.

Volunteers are still needed to assist with the program. What is the role of the volunteer?

REAL LIFE utilizes about 30 volunteer mentors per day. Typically, the day begins at approximately 7:30 a.m. with volunteer training. Volunteers then work with students during the entire school day on real life issues. Light breakfast and lunch is provided. The day ends around 2 p.m.
