It's a Snowy Week at Hampden!

LUNCH MENU CHANGE FOR THURSDAY
Due to today's (March 21) snow day, we will be adjusting our lunch menu for Thursday, March 22; however, we will be resuming the regularly scheduled menu for Friday.  Thursday's lunch menu is as follows: 
Choice 1: Pork BBQ
Choice 2: Corn Dogs
Choice 3: PBJ
Choice 4: Chef Salad

HAMPDEN ELEMENTARY KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 23
Due to the weather related school closure, the Kindergarten Registration and Screening event at Hampden Elementary School scheduled for Wednesday, March 21 has been rescheduled for Friday, March 23.  If your child was scheduled for registration on March 21, you will be receiving a follow-up email regarding re-scheduling your appointment for the Kindergarten Registration event at Hampden Elementary. If you have any questions, please contact Central Registration at (717) 506-3399.

SPRING BREAK
School will not be in session Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 for Spring Break.  However, due to the March 21 snow day, school will be in session Monday, April 2 as the designated 3rd makeup day on the school calendar.

HAMPDEN SCIENCE FAIR
It's time for the Hampden Science Fair. The fair will be held on Thursday, May 3 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Students in grades 2 through 5 are welcome to participate in this event. To register your student, click on: Hampden Science Fair.

Once your child is registered, he/she will receive an informational packet from their teacher with specific instructions. Please be sure to sign up before Friday, April 6. We look forward to seeing all the wonderful projects and experiments created by our young Hampden scientists!

PSSA TESTING 
Students in 3rd to 5th grade will be taking the PSSA Assessment. The district dates for this assessment are as follows: ELA on April 10th, 11th, and 12th, MATH April 17th and 18th, and SCIENCE on April 24th and 25th (4th grade only).  No Educational Trip requests will be approved during these testing windows.

Spring Break -- March 26 - March 30
April 2 -- School will be in session on Monday, April 2 as this is the designated 3rd makeup on the school calendar
