JUMP ROPE FOR HEART:
The total is in for the amount of money that the Middlesex community raised for the American Heart Association. The grand total is $3,721.30. Thank you to all of our families, staff, and community partners for helping us achieve this goal!! A special thank you to Mr. Bigelow for organizing this event at Middlesex!
READ ACROSS AMERICA:
Students had a great time this week participating in Read Across America events! So many students participated in our theme days and showed their creativity with their outfits! Students in grades K-2 received, The Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow, and students in 3-5 received Freckle Juice. With each of these books, you should have received a letter explaining some activities that you can do with your child at home as you celebrate the enjoyment of reading with them. A special thank you goes out to our local superheroes, our police officers and firefighters, for volunteering this week to read picture books to all of our students; such a special time!! Another special thank you goes out to Mrs. Goddard, Mr. Pierce, Mrs. Schreibeis, and Ms. Kanagaraj for organizing the entire week of events!!
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES:
Thank you to all families that participated in our parent/teacher conferences on March 1st. We are so thankful to have your support at home! If you did not attend conferences this trimester, remember to go into Mastery Connect to view your child's progress with the standards and grade level content. If you have questions about your child's Mastery Connect Progress Report please reach out to your child's teacher.
UPCOMING PSSA ASSESSMENT:
Similar to previous years, students in 3rd to 5th grade will be taking the PSSA Assessment. The district dates for this assessment are as follows: ELA- April 10th, 11th, and 12th, MATH-April 17th and 18th, and SCIENCE- April 17th and 18th (4th grade only).
2018-19 Middlesex Elementary Kindergarten Registration:
Middlesex Elementary School is looking for kindergarten students for the 2018-19 school year. Students need to turn 5 years old on, or before September 1, 2018. To begin the registration process, go to http://www.cvschools.org/about_us/central_registration/2018-2019_kindergarten_registration.
