Greetings -
Literacy Night
Join us on February 22, 2018 at 6:00 PM as
we celebrate reading. The night will begin with registration and then followed
by games, crafts, and snacks. It should be a lot of fun and a great way to share
the joy of reading together as a
family.
THON Pajama Day

Day! Please bring in some loose coins to donate to THON.?
READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK/mini THON
Week - February 26-March 2
According
to the National Education Association, motivating children to read is an
important factor in student achievement and creating lifelong successful
readers. Research has shown that children who are motivated and spend more time
reading do better in school. Brilliant, playful, and always respectful of
children, Dr. Seuss charmed his way into the consciousness of four generations
of youngsters and parents. In the process, he helped millions of children learn
to read.
In
addition to celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday, we are getting ready for our mini
THON. During our mini THON, the students will be learning about the Four
Diamonds Fund. The Four Diamonds' mission is to conquer childhood cancer by
assisting children and their families through superior care, comprehensive
support and innovative research. We want to help the Four Diamonds Fund help
these children beat cancer!
If
our school raises $10,000 for mini THON, Mrs. Novick and Mrs. Lena are dying
their hair blue in honor of the Four Diamonds Fund.
We
will be celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday and getting ready for our mini THON
