Welcome back to another SUPER week at Hampden!

ROLLER SKATING PARTY
Thank you to all of our families who came out for the annual roller skating party yesterday!  We hope you had a great time!  Thank you to Jennifer Robinson for planning, Mr. d for chaperoning, and our wonderful parent volunteers.  Thank you also for your tissue donations - our staff greatly appreciates your generosity!

INCLEMENT WEATHER
This first full week of December brings thoughts of snow and cold weather.  Please remember to send your children to school dressed appropriately!  Students will go out for recess if the temperature (with wind chill) is 17 degrees or higher.

The quickest way to know if school is delayed or closed is to watch our CV website.  It is the first thing that is updated.  Second to the website, a Tweet will go out (you need to follow @CVSDNews), then the Facebook page (CV Schools) is updated, then the automated call and email system is activated, and finally the information will be conveyed to local television and radio stations.

GIVING TREE
There are still a few items to be claimed for the Hampden PTO Giving Tree.  Please click here to sign up.  The gifts must be wrapped and brought into the school lobby no later than Monday, December 18.  Please make sure you attach a gift tag or a post-it note (taped on securely) with the Child Code and what you bought.  For example, Child D-1, top Size 10/12.  We encourage you to involve your child in the gift suggestion and wrapping.  Your support of this special project will bring joy to many families during this holiday season.  We truly thank you for your generosity!
