FALL FESTIVAL PARTIES
Many thanks to our room parents for their effort and creativity in planning the Fall Festival Parties last week! We also appreciate all of the parents who served as party helpers and party suppliers. The students had a wonderful time!
SILVER SPRING MINI MINI-THON
Friday is our annual Silver Spring Mini Mini-THON! All students will participate in our THON activities with the high school THON kids! Activities include dancing, arts and crafts, videos, trivia, games, and more! All money raised will go towards Four Diamonds which aims to conquer childhood cancer and supports affected families at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK VISITS
We are excited to invite you to visit Silver Spring Elementary School during our 2017 American Education Week. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, November 7th, 8th and 9th have been designated as classroom visitation days. Suggested visitation times are 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM. Due to the number of expected visitors, we would appreciate if you limit your visits to a 30 minute time frame.
VISITATION SUGGESTIONS & PROCEDURES
- Upon arrival at Silver Spring, please be sure to stop in the office to have an identification badge printed for you.
- Please refrain from bringing children to school during classroom visits.
- Upon arrival at your child’s room, please go in and have a seat.
- Teachers will follow their normal teaching schedule. During your visit, please remain quiet and silence your cell phone so as not to disrupt classroom instruction.
- We welcome you to stay for your child’s special class, if they transition to Art, Computer, Library, Music or PE during your visit.
- If you choose to stay and have lunch with your child, please send a note to the teacher that morning with your lunch choice if you are buying.
