Welcome back to another SUPER week at Hampden!

FALL FESTIVAL PARTIES
Many thanks to our room parents for their effort and creativity in planning the Fall Festival Parties last week!  We also appreciate all of the parents who served as party helpers and party suppliers.  The students had a wonderful time!
 
PINK OUT
Hampden students and staff are invited to wear PINK tomorrow, October 31 to show our support for breast cancer awareness.

HAMPDEN MINI MINI-THON
Friday is our annual Hampden Mini Mini-THON!  All students will participate in our THON activities with the high school THON kids!  Activities include dancing, arts and crafts, videos, trivia, games, and more!  All money raised will go towards Four Diamonds which aims to conquer childhood cancer and supports affected families at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.  Donation forms were sent home a few weeks ago or can be downloaded by clicking here.  

This week we are asking students to bring in loose change to add to our collection for Four Diamonds.  Staff members will be "canning" in the morning as the students get off the bus and walk in from parent drop off.  Thanks in advance for your donations!

ART FROM THE HEART
As advertised, we have decided to sell prints of our original Hamdpen artwork to the community.  To help the thousands of hurricane victims in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, proceeds from the sale of these prints will be donated on behalf of the Hampden Elementary School community to the American Red Cross.  All prints will be in full color and on 9 mm poster paper.  Pictures of the art can be viewed on our website under Happening Now.  Order forms can be downloaded online by clicking here.  Orders and payments are due next Friday, November 10.  Thanks in advance for your support.

VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY
We are excited to announce that we will be having an all-school assembly to celebrate Veterans Day on Friday, November 10.  If you have immediate family (i.e. limited to you as parents or grandparents who have served or are serving now) we invite one veteran representative from your family and one guest (due to limited space) to attend our program at 10:00 am.  If you are planning on attending, please fill out the online form by November 1 by clicking here.

CV STILES
Our CV Stiles language clubs start this week.  Reminder slips will be going home today for students who are registered.  As a reminder, students do not need yellow notes to stay for the club (if they are not attending they do not need a note).
