Welcome Back to another SUPER week at Hampden!

Red Ribbon Week
Next week is Red Ribbon Week - an alcohol, tobacco, drug and violence campaign observed annually in October in the United States.  To help make students aware of these issues, we are organizing a special theme week.  Flyers will be coming home later this week as a reminder.

Monday - "I Believe in Me" - Wear Red; Red ribbons will be distributed
Tuesday - "Too Bright for Drugs" - Wear neon and sunglasses
Wednesday - "Don't Get Mixed Up in Drugs" - Wacky Wednesday
Thursday - "Team Up Against Drugs" - Wear favorite team shirt or Hampden TEAM t-shirt
Friday - "We Aren't FALLING for Drugs" - Wear fall colors for the Fall Festivals

Food Allergy Awareness

As you all know, food allergy awareness is such an important part of our every day here at school.  Awareness is the key to feeling safe for many of our Hampden students.  This time of year starts the time of our "festivals".  Parents are encouraged to please check that the CVSIS is updated to reflect any allergies that your student may have.  In addition, homeroom parents are reminded that nut/peanut-free classrooms must be sure that NO NUTS are allowed on any of the packaged or baked foods in the classrooms.

Please check out the TEAL PUMPKIN display in our lobby and take a sign to help spread food allergy awareness during trick-or-treating.  You are welcome to grab a flyer, sticker, or coloring page.  Click here for more information.
