October 14, 2017 - It is a great week to be a Sporting Hill Bulldog!

Race for EducationRace Race for Education is always an exciting day for our Sporting Hill Bulldogs.  If you are going to join in on the fun, please fill out this form, so we can have your badges printed in advance.

In addition, PTO is still looking for a few volunteers to make this a fun day for our students.  The event takes place during the school day on Friday 10/20.  If you have not already done so, please visit www.timetosignup.com/sphpto to see how you can help.

Readers Become Leaders:  Free Book Exchange comes to Sporting Hill Elementary School

Book ExchangeOn Friday we got a special gift from Ms. Kostelac and one of her dear friends.  It is a book exchange library and it is beautiful.  You will see the book exchange outside Sporting Hill's front doors greeting our community with books!

Here is how it works: Open the door to the, pick a book, and take it home to read.  It is that simple!  Once you have read the book, you can return it to the Sporting Hill Book Exchange and get another book.  However, if you forget the book at home...No problem, just choose another one to read!

Finally, if you have extra books that you would like to donate please place them in our book exchange.  We love sharing and we love reading!

By the way, this book exchange is not just for our Sporting Hill Family.  We want our whole community to use the book exchange.  Spread the word!

PTO Meeting
Please join us for our October PTO Meeting on Thursday 10/19 at 7:00 pm.  We’ll provide you with the most up to date info on our Race for Education Fundraiser and discuss some of our upcoming events.  If you have anything that you would like to add to the agenda for this meeting, please email Sarah at [email protected]

Fall Family Festival
Come out to Sporting Hill for an evening of FREE family fun!  The PTO has a variety of games and activities planned.  Jump in a leaf pile, have your face painted, decorate a pumpkin, play some fall games, show off your {family friendly} Halloween costume, and more!  We are hoping to have a few special guests join us as well so please stay tuned for all of the details.

It takes a lot of volunteers to make an event like this possible.  Please consider giving a small amount of your time or provide a food donation.  Children are welcome to volunteer with an adult.  The volunteer signups are available at www.timetosignup.com/sphpto
