Cub Scouts Pack 196
Cub Scout Pack 196 will be holding their Fall Recruitment Night on Wednesday, September 13th. The meeting takes place in the Sporting Hill Cafeteria from 6:30 to 8:00. This is an opportunity for boys (Grades K-5) and their parents to ask questions, meet the leaders, and register if they decide to join. This is a very friendly & welcoming group. Come see what they're all about!
Giant A+
Information on Giant A+ School Rewards will be coming home soon. This is an easy way for friends and family to support our school - You shop, we earn points. Points are then used to calculate a cash total and Giant deposits that money automatically into our bank account. It doesn't get any easier than that! Registration will begin on Monday, September 11th.
Upcoming PTO Dates
The PTO has a lot of fun activities and events coming up throughout the school year. Volunteer opportunities will be be posted online at www.timetosignup.com/sphpto. Please consider signing up to volunteer with us! Our upcoming dates for September are:
- Tuesday 9/19 - PTO Meeting at 7pm in the IMC
- Friday 9/22 - Sweet Start at 7:30am at the Pavilion. Families are invited to come have breakfast with their students. PTO will be providing a variety of food and drinks including pastries, fruit, coffee, tea and juice. Come join us and make a memory!
- Friday 9/22- Race for Education packets will be coming home with your students.
- Friday 9/29 - Family Yoga Night at 6pm in the gym. This is an exciting new event at Sporting Hill! The whole family is invited to join us for a fun and relaxing hour led by Kidding Around Yoga with Erika America. (https://kiddingaroundyoga.com/erikaamerica/) Bring a yoga mat or towel if you'd like; bottled water will be provided by the PTO.
