Dear Middlesex Families:

We are honored to take this opportunity to share that the School Board has approved District administration's recommendation to name Mrs. Stephanie Eldridge as the principal of Middlesex Elementary School. She previously served in the West Shore School District as an elementary principal. Mrs. Eldridge replaces Mr. Joe Shirvinski, who recently announced his retirement.

Letter from Mrs. Eldridge to Middlesex families:

Dear Parents and Families of Middlesex Elementary School,

It is my privilege and my honor to join the Middlesex community as your new Principal. I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growing with your children, working with professional staff, and partnering with you – our parents and community members. I am very passionate about this age group of students, as most of my 16 years of teaching and administrative work have been focused at the elementary level. I truly believe that what happens during these foundational years of elementary school for students has a lasting impression on their development and growth later on in life.

As I begin my first school year at Middlesex Elementary, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of your children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing supportive systems to assure they are met. Working together as a team with staff and families, I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best. Every student is valued and worthy of our best effort here at Middlesex Elementary. By addressing a positive school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increasing academic relevance and rigor for all students, and engaging the community, success for all will be evident!

I hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing summer. The 2017-2018 school year will be busy, exciting, and very rewarding for all individuals involved. I want you to join me in making this school year the very best experience for our children.

Throughout the year our school website, periodic calendars, and newsletters, etc., will provide you with the most current information to foster communication between home and school.
