Is your student interested in building and maintaining computers?
Cumberland Valley High School, in conjunction with Cumberland-Perry Area Vocational is offering a course in computer networking during the summer of 2017. Students in this course will install, configure, maintain, and diagnose Personal Computer systems and basic networking. This program is based on the Cisco Networking Academy Curriculum. Cisco is one of the leading hardware manufacturers of Network equipment and offers one of the most vigorous certification programs. Students who complete the course will be prepared to take the CompTIA A+ Certification exam.
This is the first of two planned summer courses. Students who complete both courses will be prepared to take the CompTIA A+ Certification exam.
Completion of both courses will enable students to enroll in Level 2 of the CPAVTS Networking Program where further industry certifications become available.
Additionally, students who complete this course during the summer will receive academic credit from Cumberland Valley High School.
When: June 12-July 25 (No class July 3 & 4), Monday-Thursday, 7:30-10AM

Cost: Free to Cumberland Valley HS students. All students will also be required to purchase materials for the course (approx. $27 + shipping).
