RANK IN CLASS:

Colleges receive a rank computed by using the official record beginning with the ninth grade and ending with the second semester of the eleventh grade.  Rank includes all subjects.  Certain designated enrichment level courses are weighted higher for ranking purposes only. Honors Courses are weighted 1.1, AP Courses are weighted 1.125. The extra weight is not added to the subject grade, but added to the cumulative average. An asterisk on the transcript indicates these courses.  Students who transfer to CVHS are ranked only for the courses taken at our school. An official class rank goes into effect after they have completed four consecutive semesters.
