New guidelines for battery recycling:

According to the EPA and DEP, it is safe to dispose of ALKALINE batteries in our household trash cans.  However, it is NOT safe to dispose of lithium batteries, button batteries or rechargeable batteries.  These batteries need to be disposed of properly.  Businesses such as Batteries Plus, Radio Shack, Battery Warehouse & Staples are equipped to properly dispose of these batteries.  You may drop your old batteries off at one of these businesses directly or have your son or daughter bring them to EV and we will recycle them for you.
