Cumberland Valley AchievE Adult Diploma Program

This program is designed to provide adults, who did not graduate from high school, a second chance to complete their education.  To enter the program, students must be a resident of Pennsylvania and their original high school class must have graduated.

Each participant must acquire specified skills including the identification of facts, reading and speaking, math, problem solving and social and fitness skills. Through the completion of these competencies, participants gain an excellent working knowledge of the community in which they work and live.  English, writing, and math classes are also offered.

Because participants work at their own pace, it is possible to graduate within one year's time.

This program is partially funded by the Bureau of Adult Basic and Literacy Education with the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

The enrollment period for the 2009-2010 school year is now closed.

The Cumberland Valley AchievE Adult Diploma Program will begin a new program in September 2010, to run through June 2011.

Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available after April 1, 2010. Those needing an application for the program should send their request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope, no later than July 30, 2010 to:
