Cumberland Valley School District
Safety and Security Hotline
(717) 506-3991
The Cumberland Valley School District has established a school safety hotline. This hotline goes into a voice mailbox and is available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to give students, parents, and community members the opportunity to report any impending school violence or information about students at risk. As you are aware, students usually have knowledge of potential school violence before it occurs. This hotline gives students the opportunity to anonymously report any potential violence.
The hotline is checked on a daily basis. Callers can remain anonymous and are encouraged to provide as much information as possible about pending events of school violence, children at risk, bullying, or any other situation that relates to Safety and/or Security matters within the school district. If you do wish to be contacted please leave your name and a phone number we will contact you as soon as possible
"A safe school is in place when students can learn and teachers can teach in a welcoming environment, free of intimidation and fear. It is a setting where the educational climate fosters a spirit of acceptance and care for every child; where behavior expectations are clearly communicated, consistently enforced and fairly applied. A safe school is also one that is prepared to respond to the unthinkable crisis. Unlimited options and potential exist for safe school planning. It requires only the ability to get started."
