Letters from Littles to Bigs encourage healthy decision-making

Cumberland Valley School District fifth-graders continued an annual tradition of participating in a Letter Writing Campaign, where they penned notes to seniors encouraging healthy decision-making during prom and graduation season. As part of the program, seniors receive a personalized letter from a fifth-grader. The annual campaign has been a part of CV history for more than two decades.

Letters are distributed to seniors in the days prior to prom. At the same time, one student from each elementary school is selected to be videoed reading their letter aloud. These fifth graders were videoed by CV-TV high school students and the videos are then shown as part of morning announcements on CV-TV (Cumberland Valley High School's student TV station) prior to prom.
