About Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is an international sensation that has played to over 35 million people worldwide in 13 countries. Based on the 1991 Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs from the movie along with new musical numbers. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. As if setting the stage for Eagle View’s April 2017 production, Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” a live-action film re-telling the studio’s animated classic, was released in U.S. theaters on March 17th.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is fun for the whole family. This 'tale as old as time' is filled with spectacular costumes, upbeat musical numbers, and a story that will warm your heart. The show offers a great opportunity to bring your friends and family together for theatre at its best!
