Parent Portal Basic User Tips

Below are some basic user tips - Parent Portal:

Unique contacts - each contact must be listed as individual entries. For example: Grandma Sue and Grandpa Joe cannot be listed on a single entry as Sue and/or Joe. Instead, Sue would be one entry while Joe would be another entry.

Unique priority numbers - you'll be asked to assign priority numbers to your contacts. These numbers represent the order in which contacts are called in the event that we need to reach someone regarding your child. Each contact (parents/guardians and emergency contacts) must be assigned their own priority number.

Parents/guardians are emergency contacts
- If you are listed as the child's parent/guardian, you will automatically be contacted in the event of an emergency involving your child. The order of contact, however, is dependent upon the priority that you have selected. Because you are automatically contacted as a parent/guardian, it is not necessary to also list yourself as an emergency contact. If you login for the first time and see that the system has auto-populated your name as both a parent/guardian and emergency contact, you may delete your listing under the emergency contact field so that the verification process will complete. Please see "Changing Emergency Contacts" below.

Changing Emergency Contacts – If you wish to change an emergency contact, please do not simply overwrite existing information. Instead, you must delete the contact that you no longer want and add your new contact. Please note: You must have at least one emergency contact in place at all times. Therefore, you may need to first add your new emergency contact before deleting the contact that you wish to remove.

* Please note: Only custodial parents who reside with the child will have access to change emergency contact information.
