Head Varsity Coach George Gemberling, since 2015. I started coaching in the boys program in 2000 and continued to do so ever since. Also coached a few middle school basketball teams along the way. In the soccer world I have experience with Islanders Academy programs, summer camps, former U.S.S.F Referee, and VP of Programs for the CPYSL board, and I am a NSCAA National Licensed Coach and a member for several years. I had the honor of assisting on the first ever USL W team in central pa. I have been teaching middle school physical education since 2004 at Eagle View. Counting my high school playing days (and who doesn't) I have been attending practices at CV for 33 years.
Assistant Varsity Coach/Goalkeepers, Sydney Bruckner first season 2021. Coach Bruckner is a former player in our program and holds the school career shutout record. She left us and continued playing in the net for D1 Robert Morris University. She has worked with several players through clubs and camps over the years and we are excited to have her home.
High School JV and Jr. High Varsity, Ashley Sauder is an 8th grade math teacher at Mountain View Middle School. She grew up in Halifax, PA and attended Messiah University played on the Division III NCAA national championship team. She has been playing soccer since she was 6 years old. Ashley played at PA Classics ,s well as the first ever women’s U.S. Soccer Development Academy team,attend the U.S. Olympic Development training centers. These training centers fed players into the national and Olympic teams. During her high school freshman season scoring 32 goals
In addition to playing soccer, Ashley has been the assistant coach of teams for more than 6 years. Including Halifax Cobras travel team (U12-U16), volunteer with the Cumberland Valley Junior High girls’ team, and assistant coach for the Halifax High School team.
Jr. High JV Coach, Summer Slusser grew up in Aspers, PA, I played soccer starting in 4th grade. In high school, I was a 4-year varsity starter. . I went on to play soccer for four years at Albright College in Reading, PA where my team was 3-time playoff qualifiers and ECAC runner-up in 2018. I began my teaching career at Mountain View in February of 2020. I currently teach 8th-grade English for the Ocean Team.
